Orientation & Assessment
For all new students or students who have not attended in over a year, we strongly recommend that you book a free assessment prior to registering. Assessments take approximately 15 minutes and ensure your child is enrolled in the appropriate class. They are also a wonderful way to become orientated with our facility and staff before their first class. Please call customer service at 604-528-9988 to book an assessment.
Terms & Conditions
ARRIVAL AND PICK UP
Please have your child ready to start their class on time. If you are going to be late, please try and call ahead to let customer service know. If you will be 15 minutes or later for a class, we ask that you do not attend that day, as it is very disruptive for the other children in the class and the instructor. As well, your child will miss the warm-up and stretch, which is a very important part of the class. If you do arrive late, please ask a staff member for assistance in getting your child to their class. For safety and security reasons, only participating children and parents are allowed in the gym area.
Participants are asked to wait outside of the gym for their classes to start.
For safety and sanitary reasons- FOOD, BEVERAGES, CHEWING GUM, OUTSIDE FOOTWEAR, and CELL PHONES
WHAT TO WEAR
T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, or stretchy pants/sweatpants are permitted. Please no baggy or long sleeve shirts, and no jewelry. Safety is our number one priority. We do not want the children worried about their shirts going over their heads when they are in a handstand or upside down. We also do not want the children tripping over their pants if they are too long. Long hair should be pulled up and out of their faces. Children will be rolling, so make sure they do not have anything in their hair that might hurt their heads.
At LeapFrog Gymnastics, we use three steps to discipline:
1. SAFETY WARNING
If they continue to be unsafe, they will be excluded from the activity for a short time to calm their body, and asked to explain how to be safe moving forward in the class or event.
2. SECOND SAFETY WARNING
The child’s behavior will be communicated to the parents upon their arrival to pick up their child.
3. PARENT CONFERENCE
A conversation or conference with the parents, participant, and director will take place. We will do our best to handle all situations within the gym. If parents are called during the day, it would be because of a situation that we feel puts others at risk. We reserve the right to send a child home when we feel they are not acting in a safe or healthy manner, and are not willing or able to change their behavior. No credit will be given when this occurs. Furthermore, we reserve the right to suspend a child from the gym at any time we feel is necessary for safety reasons, or if we feel that the structure and environment of our program cannot reasonably meet a child’s needs.
REGISTRATION TERMS FOR GYMNASTICS CLASSES
Our gymnastics classes run year round in one annual session and are divided into three terms. Our annual session runs from September to August. Within the annual session are the following terms:
Fall term: September to December
Winter term: January to April
Summer term: May to August
You can pay for a full term in advance; however, no refunds or credits are given if you elect to drop before the end of the term. Alternatively, we offer a convenient Monthly Auto-Pay System, where we apply your charges to your bank account or credit card by the 20th of every month. You must have a valid credit card or bank account on file in order to be enrolled for monthly payments- even if you elect to pay with cash, cheque or debit.
Students may join at any time as long as there is a vacancy in your desired class. Classes must meet our minimum class size at all times in order to run. If you are unsure if your class has met the minimum enrollments needed to run, please contact us at 604-528-9988. You can choose to drop your enrollment at any time throughout the term or session. To do so, please contact customer service before the 20th of the month. We do not recommend ending your enrollment before the end of the session or term.
Tuition is due by the 20th of each month and is based on a flat monthly rate. We require a valid credit card or bank draft to be saved in your online portal account to complete your registration. You can choose to use this electronic payment for automatic monthly payments. Alternatively, you can leave postdated cheques, pay by cash or debit on or before the 20th of each month. If cash, debit, or cheque payment is not received by the due date, LeapFrog Gymnastics will initiate electronic payments for any balances due on your account, plus an administrative late fee of up to $25.00. If a cheque or payment is returned as “Insufficient Funds”, a $45 charge will be added to your account.
A $25 membership fee per child is due upon registration, and then added to your tuition annually on the anniversary month of your child joining our monthly gymnastics program. For families with three children or more enrolled, a family fee of $55 is applied.
Once enrolled in a program that has recurring monthly tuition, you are continuously enrolled in the program and will incur monthly tuition charges on your account until you submit a class drop request and/or complete the annual session (on the last day of August). All fees are subject to GST. Some months will receive 5 classes. There will be no extra charge for the 5th class, but those days will be considered in lieu of any classes missed while LeapFrog Gymnastics is closed, due to statutory holidays or inclement weather closures.
ORIENTATION & ASSESSMENT

If you would like to drop your enrollment before the end of the session, please contact customer service on or before the 20th day of the month. Instructors cannot drop students from classes. No refunds or credits will be given if you drop a class after payment has been processed. We do not recommend ending your enrollment before the end of the term or session. Children that do not complete the full term are not eligible to participate in the term end show and will not receive a progress report.
If you are registering more than one child, we offer a 5% monthly discount. This discount applies to the additional children you are registering, starting with the lowest monthly fee.
Register your child into two classes per week and receive a 20% discount off of your second class fees. This discount will not be combined with the 5% sibling discount above.
We do not offer any refunds or credits once payment has been made.
We do not allow make-up classes. Children that miss several classes due to severe and/or prolonged sickness or injuries may be eligible for a credit to their online portal account, provided that they have a doctor’s note. This credit may be used for future classes or events.
We are closed on all BC statutory holidays. Some months will receive 5 classes. There will be no extra charge for the 5th class, but those days will be considered in lieu of any classes missed while LeapFrog Gymnastics is closed, due to statutory holidays or inclement weather closures. In the event we are required to close due to unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather warnings, we will make every attempt to provide members with as much notice as possible via email.
